What does the "Subscribed" column mean in data exports?

When you export user data into a .csv file, you will notice a true/false column with the Subscribed label. This article will help you understand its meaning better.

What does the “Subscribed” column mean?

The Subscribed column in data exports indicates if a user is currently consenting to data processing for marketing purposes.

Users will be able to opt in or opt out on the Agreement Page during the login process.

Users who didn’t agree to data processing will not have their data stored or used by Social WiFi in any way.

They will still be able to connect to your WiFi network - due to legal requirements we cannot deny internet access if someone does not consent to data processing for marketing purposes.

If a user initially agrees to data processing, but changes their mind later on by clicking the Unsubscribe button in an email, SMS or WhatsApp message sent via Social WiFi, the Dashboard automatically excludes them from all future marketing communications.

Their data will also have the False label in the Subscribed column in exports.

Why are users with the “False” label included in data exports?

Exports contain users with the False label to allow you to easily filter out data to be removed from external CRMs or Databases you may use.

If you’re not using any tools besides the Social WiFi Dashboard for marketing purposes, you won’t need to delete the data as the Dashboard automatically excludes it from all future campaigns you set up. Of course, if you wish to, you can remove it from the database by clicking the Bin icon in the menu on the right side of the User Data tab.
