What benefit is editable radius secret?

RADIUS secret is a password-like key that a hotspot uses for authentication. Each time a user attempts to connect and be authorized, the hotspot uses this secret to authenticate the user’s request.

Making the RADIUS secret editable brings several advantages:

• It simplifies setup across multiple locations owned by the same company.
• Social WiFi partners can configure venues using their own unique secret.
• It speeds up large-scale backups and updates.

By default, the RADIUS secret is not editable. You can enable editing by going to Settings and turning on Features → Editable RADIUS Secret. After that, when you return to Access Points, an Edit option will appear next to the Reveal and Copy button.
