Why Facebook widget is not enabled on MacBooks?

Problem

You may wonder why the Facebook login widget looks different when you try to log in with a MacBook or iPad. The icon is greyed out and doesn’t response to your attempts to log in by this method.

Explanation

It happens because Facebook login requires cookies. Unfortunately MacOS operating system, used by MacBooks and iPads, does not support cookies on the captive portal login page window, which is making it impossible to use. We made it look different and added some information about it just to make it sure it’s clear for your guests.

Solution

The only way to bypass this is to use a different login method like Google, LinkedIn, Twitter or simple email confirmation.

Make sure that Facebook login isn’t the only login widget on your login page!
