Send emails using your own domain (address)
To give clients more control over their email campaigns and protect their reputation, Social WiFi now offers the option to send emails from your own domain. This is especially beneficial for clients who regularly run mass email campaigns and want their domain's reputation to be independent of others.
Why use your own domain?
Sending emails from your own domain provides several advantages:
Improved Branding: Your emails will come from your own domain, ensuring consistent branding.
Better Deliverability Control: Your domain reputation is separate from other Social WiFi clients, meaning the success of your campaigns won’t be influenced by others.
No Additional Costs: You still use Social WiFi’s servers, so there are no extra server or maintenance fees.
Better Engagement: Replies to your emails will go directly to your own email address, making it easier to manage responses and interactions.
How to set up your custom domain
Follow these steps to start sending emails from your own domain:
Provide Your Domain Email: Send us the email address you want to use for your campaigns (this address must be on your domain).
Add DNS Records: We’ll generate and send you the DNS records you need to add to your domain’s settings.
Confirm DNS Setup: Once you’ve added the DNS records, inform us, and we’ll activate the sending feature for your custom domain.
With these simple steps, you’ll be able to send email campaigns from a domain that reflects your brand, ensuring better deliverability and control.
Managing DNS records with common providers
The specific instructions for adding the above mentioned DNS records depend on the domain provider where your domain was bought. Below you can find a list of articles for common providers. If your provider is not listed here, please consult their documentation.
Cloudflare (set "Proxy Status" to "DNS only")
Once the DNS records are added, please make sure not to delete them, because your custom domain setup will stop working.
